Extrafloral nectaries on Cenchrus americanus (L.) Morrone

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract Pearl millet, Cenchrus americanus (L.) Morrone (formerly Pennisetum glaucum L.), used for food and feed, has pollen that attracts multiple insect species. In 2023, honey bees and wasps were observed foraging on or below the auricles of pearl millet in a Georgia field.

Installation, repair, retrieval, and economic returns of S3DI systems in corn and cotton rotations

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 12, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract The use of shallow subsurface drip irrigation (S3DI) systems in row crops can be economically favorable, provided the system remains in the field without major repairs for a substantial period. This research documents installation, repairs, retrieval, and partial economic returns of S3DI systems in service for 4, 5, 6, and 8 years.

A Stochastic-Dynamic Model of Costly Reversible Technology Adoption

open access: yes
We develop a stochastic-dynamic model of technology adoption that imposes fewer restrictions on behavior than do previous studies of similar decision problems.

Meta‐Analysis and Systematic Review of the Performance of Biological Processes in the Treatment of Organic Matter From Dairy Wastewater

open access: yesCLEAN – Soil, Air, Water, Volume 54, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Dairy wastewater has raised many concerns because it is highly contaminated with high levels of organic matter. The major sources of contaminants in dairy wastewater are clean‐in‐place products, which are used to sanitize production lines, and whey, which is a byproduct of cheese and pressed yogurt.

Integrating Remote Sensing and Machine Learning to Project Global Habitat Suitability and Productivity of Chinese Fir Under Climate Change

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We integrated ecological niche modeling (MaxEnt) with a remote sensing–driven machine‐learning productivity model (BRT), using 3139 Chinese fir occurrences, MODIS‐derived NPP, and 37 climate–soil predictors to project future suitability and productivity under a 13‐GCM CMIP6 ensemble (SSP245/SSP585).
