Prospective LCA of E‐Methanol Along the Transformation of Steel Industry
Chemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.The environmental effects of change in steel production route on e‐methanol production are analyzed as they shift from blast furnace route to direct reduction route. Specific hydrogen demand reduces, as do the avoided CO2 emissions. E‐methanol's overall carbon footprint stays in a narrow range of −1 to −1.1 kg‐CO2‐eq./kg‐methanol.

Chemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.Scenario‐based planning corridors link route‐ and pace‐dependent steelworks off‐gas availability (BFG, BOFG and SAFG) to a 1000 mtpd methanol demand over 2030–2060, revealing pace‐limited BFG concepts and route/site‐size limits for CO‐rich operation and motivating early CO2 tie‐ins as retrofit‐friendly safeguards.

Drug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.Higher uEtG results indicated more recent drinking, rather than higher levels of alcohol consumption, and the period of detection of uEtG was shorter than previously reported. Even at low cutoffs, uEtG was best conceptualized as a measure of alcohol consumption in the prior 24 h.

Plastic luminescence in mechanoluminescent composites
InfoMat, EarlyView.Through compression tests and numerical simulations, this study demonstrates that the luminescence of a mechanoluminescent (ML) composite is strongly associated with plastic strain, thereby providing new insight into deformation‐induced luminescence during the plastic stage.
