Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Load-settlement behaviour of model pile groups in sand under vertical load
Model pile load testing is effective to study the load-settlement behaviour of pile foundations given the controlled environment in which the testing is done. This paper reports a testing program in a large calibration chamber involving individual piles

A six-part collisional model of the main asteroid belt [PDF]
In this work, we construct a new model for the collisional evolution of the main asteroid belt. Our goals are to test the scaling law of Benz and Asphaug (1999) and ascertain if it can be used for the whole belt.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Evaluation Of Bearing Capacity For Model Piles Driven In Sandy Soil
This study represents an effort to study the effect of driven pile type and relative density of the sand on the evaluation of bearing capacity of pile under two different types of loading, compression and tension (uplift) loads.

Evaluation of Actual Creep Length Under Heading up Structures Aprons
In this paper a 2D finite element model (SEEP2D) is implemented to study the actual head loss along the sheet piles fixed at the ends of an apron of a heading up structure.

Creep motion in a granular pile exhibiting steady surface flow
We investigate experimentally granular piles exhibiting steady surface flow. Below the surface flow, it has been believed exisitence of a `frozen' bulk region, but our results show absence of such a frozen bulk.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
