The improvement of the driving waveform for high-speed addressing

Displays, 2008
Abstract A high-speed driving technology is currently one of the most observed technologies in the driving AC-PDP. This is a required technology that allows a high image quality. In this paper, we will propose the new driving waveform which has varied V scan voltage in the same sub-field for the high-speed driving. Therefore, we were obtained 39.5

Driving Waveform Dependency of Energy Dissipation of Trapped Particles

Latin America Optics and Photonics (LAOP) Conference 2022, 2022
Here, we present a numerical simulation of the trapping of particles in a Paul trap to analyse the impact of exotic driving waveforms to disclose the trapping dynamic and maximize the energy dissipation for applied additional cooling techniques.

A new driving waveform to improve the minimum data voltage

Displays, 2008
Abstract Currently, a high-speed driving technology is a rapidly developing creative environment that is looking for ways of driving PDP for high image quality. Herein, a new waveform is proposed for high-speed driving. A proposed driving waveform, which had a log-type scan waveform, was proved by applying to a 4-in. test panel.

Driving waveform design for playing animations on electronic papers

2015 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), 2015
Showing animations on electronic papers for highlighting some important items is always desirable, but none of mature driving methods have been developed. In this paper, a new driving method aiming at reducing ghost images as well as improving the panel reliability is presented.

Analysis of distorted unbalanced waveforms in inverter drives

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1989
A new method is proposed for the analysis of waveforms in a three-phase system when both distortion and unbalance are present. The method makes it possible to obtain the positive and negative-sequence components of each harmonic system present in the three phases.

Specialized drive waveforms for the parametric acoustic source

OCEANS '77 Conference Record, 1977
In addition to its narrow beamwidth and wideband capability, the underwater parametric acoustic source has the advantage of maintaining a relatively constant beamwidth over a wide range of difference frequencies. However, for some applications the beamwidth of the difference frequency is narrower than desired or adjustable beamwidth is required.

Design and development of driving waveforms for AC PDPs

Conference Record of the 2002 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. 37th IAS Annual Meeting (Cat. No.02CH37344), 2003
This paper presents design and development of driving waveforms to improve efficacy, contrast and resolution for AC plasma display panels (PDPs). In the paper, the conventional driving waveforms are first reviewed, and the proposed driving waveforms are then discussed.
