Interaction between the voltage‐droop and the frequency‐droop control for multi‐terminal HVDC systems [PDF]
Multi‐terminal DC systems must provide a high level of reliability and may have to support the interconnected AC grids. This can be achieved by providing AC/DC converters with a dual controller combining both the voltage‐droop and the frequency‐droop control techniques.

Rheumatologic Manifestations of Patients With Type B Insulin Resistance
Objective The objectives of this study were to identify laboratory and clinical features associated with type B insulin resistance (TBIR), a rare condition caused by autoantibodies that inhibit the insulin receptor, most frequently occurring in the setting of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and to increase awareness of this rare, life‐threatening ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Cost-Based Droop Schemes for Economic Dispatch in Islanded Microgrids [PDF]
In this paper, cost-based droop schemes are proposed, to minimize the total active power generation cost in an islanded microgrid (MG), while the simplicity and decentralized nature of the droop control are retained.

Power systems with high renewable energy sources: A review of inertia and frequency control strategies over time [PDF]
Traditionally, inertia in power systems has been determined by considering all the rotating masses directly connected to the grid. During the last decade, the integration of renewable energy sources, mainly photovoltaic installations and wind power ...

Contribution of a smart transformer in the local primary control of a microgrid [PDF]
In order to enable an easy participation of microgrids in the electricity markets, the smart transformer (ST) concept has been developed. The ST controls the power exchange between a microgrid and the utility network by only controlling its microgrid ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.
