A Dynamic Calibration Test on PVDF Film Pressure Sensor with Dropping Hammer Method
Advanced Materials Research, 2014Polyvinylidene Fluoride (referred to as PVDF) piezoelectric film is a new type of polymer piezoelectric materials. Because of its light weight, thin thickness, high sensitivity, high mechanical strength, wide frequency response range and other advantages, it has the application prospect in the explosion field.

Journal of Sandwich Structures & Materials, 2017
The sandwich structures with aluminum foam core and metal surfaces have widespread use in the absorption of energy, because they are light weighted with high performance in dissipating energy. The cell structure of the foam core is subjected to plastic deformation in the constant compression level that absorbs a lot of kinetic energy before ...

On the prediction of impact noise, X: The design and testing of a quietened drop hammer
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1986Part V in this series showed that the technique of predicting overall noise levels ( L eq per event) from vibration levels in a drop hammer produces surprisingly accurate results, allowing a good estimate of the contribution of each component to the overall noise.

Mass Dependent of Explosion Probability of RDX, Tetryl, and a PBX Powder in Drop Hammer Test
Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2015AbstractSeries of Drop Weight Tests with varying sample mass of RDX, tetryl, and a PBX molding powder were carried out and the dramatic effects of sample mass on the explosion probability were obtained. The experimental results indicate that the explosion probability will firstly increase and subsequently decrease when the mass of sample reduces and ...

Comparison of the Folding Behaviour in the Empty and Foam-Filled Honeycombs via Drop Hammer Tests
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2011In this paper, effects of polyurethane foam filler on the folding behaviour of the honeycomb panels as a thin walled structure are studied, experimentally. For this purpose, some specimens of the empty and foam‐filled honeycombs were prepared. All panels had 63 hexagonal cells and made of an aluminum alloy.

Abstract This paper describes the design and construction of a “lumped” pressure bar, having a stress wave transit time equivalent to a uniform steel bar about 40 ft long. The lumped bar, with a length of 2 ft, has its mass and resilience artificially distributed in the form of a series of springs and weights.
