Commercial femtosecond direct laser writing (Nanoscribe GT) is utilized to fabricate electrically switchable PEDOT:PSS nanostructures on ITO‐coated glass substrates, as well as underneath and on top of 3D‐printed structures and demonstrates beam‐switching at 1550 nm. Abstract Microscale three‐dimensional (3D)‐printing, with its remarkable precision and

Improving a constructive heuristic for the general routing problem
Abstract The general routing problem (GRP) is a fundamental 𝒩𝒫‐hard vehicle routing problem, first defined by Orloff in 1974. It contains as special cases the Chinese postman problem, the rural postman problem, the graphical TSP, and the Steiner TSP. We examine in detail a known constructive heuristic for the GRP, due to Christofides and others.

High Fidelity Waveguides Through Vitreous Media Recomposition for Next Generation Photonic Devices
A newly designed aluminosilicate glass enables the fabrication of femtosecond laser‐written optical waveguides with ultra‐low propagation losses of −0.020 dB cm−1 at 1310 nm and −0.037 dB cm−1 at 1550 nm. Raman, Brillouin, and electron microscopy analyses reveal the mechanisms behind refractive index modifications, highlighting the role of glass ...

A Distributed Protocol for Detection of Packet Dropping Attack in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks [PDF]
In multi-hop mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs),mobile nodes cooperate with each other without using any infrastructure such as access points or base stations. Security remains a major challenge for these networks due to their features of open medium, dynamically changing topologies, reliance on cooperative algorithms, absence of centralized monitoring ...

Demonstration of a Graphene Adjustable‐Barriers Phototransistor with Tunable Ultra‐High Responsivity
A novel graphene‐based phototransistor with a tunable ultra‐high responsivity of 1.7 x 107 AW−1 has been demonstrated. Due to the selected material combination of amorphous silicon, graphene and n‐germanium, the device is potentially capable of dual‐band detection in the VIS‐IR range.

A High‐Performance Miniaturized Frequency Shift Detection System for QCM‐Based Gravimetric Sensing
A miniaturized frequency shift detection system based on a phase‐locked loop (PLL) circuit is proposed for simplifying QCM measurement, possessing excellent performance of high sensitivity, resolution, linearity, and accuracy compared with a commercial frequency analyzer.

Integrated magneto-photonic non-volatile multi-bit memory [PDF]
We present an integrated magneto-photonic device for all-optical switching of non-volatile multi-bit spintronic memory. The bits are based on stand-alone magneto-tunnel junctions which are perpendicularly magnetized with all-optically switchable free layers, coupled onto photonic crystal nanobeam cavities on an indium phosphide based platform.

This work overcomes long‐standing crucial technical difficulties in miniaturizing micro‐wave detectors, caused by the longer‐wavelength diffraction limit, with carbon nanotube (CNT) film photo‐thermoelectric sensors. The CNT film sensor exhibits sensitive micro‐wave detection operations with signal‐to‐noise ratios over 1400 at compact device sizes ...

Ultra‐low LOD H2O2 Sensor Based on Synergistic Nernst Potential Effect
Due to the synergistic effect of ENernst,H2O2${E}_{\mathrm{Nernst},\ {\mathrm{H}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{2}}$ and ENernst,H+${E}_{\mathrm{Nernst},\ {\mathrm{H}}^{+}}$, the proposed sensors in this study can achieve ultralow H2O2 detection limit as low as 1.8 × 10−12 M based on the stacked PEDOT: BTB/PEDOT: PSS semiconducting layer.

This paper analyzes which constellation characteristics provide the best global coverage at the lowest operational cost. Our analysis has found that geostationary and medium Earth orbit satellite constellations have the highest likelihood of profitability. LEO networks are more expensive, but if designed wisely, they can be competitive.
