Droplet Excitations for the Spin-1/2 XXZ Chain with Kink Boundary Conditions
We give a precise definition for excitations consisting of a droplet of size n in the XXZ chain with various choices of boundary conditions, including kink boundary conditions and prove that, for each n, the droplet energies converge to a boundary ...

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Influence of Droplet Size on the Growth of Self-Catalyzed Ternary GaAsP Nanowires.
The influences of droplet size on the growth of self-catalyzed ternary nanowires (NWs) were studied using GaAsP NWs. The size-induced Gibbs-Thomson (GT) effect makes the smaller catalytic droplets have lower effective supersaturations and hence slower ...

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Numerical simulations to determine the size of microdroplets without visualization by measuring pressure fluctuations [PDF]
A novel pressure-fluctuation-based method is proposed for measuring the size of microdroplets without the need for visualization through a microscope. In the present work, numerical simulations are carried out in a co-flow geometry to verify this concept.

Measuring Spray Droplet Size from Agricultural Nozzles Using Laser Diffraction
When making an application of any crop protection material such as an herbicide or pesticide, the applicator uses a variety of skills and information to make an application so that the material reaches the target site (i.e., plant).
