Comparative Evaluation of Ultra-Low-Volume Nozzle Configurations for UAV Spraying in Mango Orchards Under Semi-Arid Conditions in Northern India

open access: yesBiology and Life Sciences Forum
Efficient pesticide delivery in mango orchards is hindered by tall canopies and dense foliage. This study evaluated two ultra-low-volume (ULV) nozzles—TeeJet XR and HYPRO rotary—mounted on an indigenous multirotor drone during flowering and fruit-set ...

SPRAY DEPOSITION FROM AN UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE ON A COFFEE CROP [PDF]

open access: yesEngenharia Agrícola
The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to apply pesticides has grown significantly, but technical data to support improvements in application efficiency are lacking, especially for perennial crops.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Description of the application method in technical and scientific work on insecticides

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Agronomy, 2016
Chemical control is a viable and practically indispensable tool in the control and management of cultivated plant pests, but insufficient detail in documenting the methods used for applying phytosanitary products has been reported in the majority of ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Spatial Variability in the Deposition of Herbicide Droplets Sprayed Using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft

open access: yesAgriEngineering
In this study, we evaluated the spatial variability in droplet deposition in herbicide applications using a remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) in pasture areas. The investigation was conducted in a square grid (50.0 m × 50.0 m), with 121 sampling points, at

Activity-induced droplet propulsion and multifractality

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We elucidate the crucial role that confinement plays in collective and emergent behaviors in active- or living-matter systems by developing a minimal hydrodynamic model, without an orientational order parameter, for assemblies of contractile swimmers ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Characteristics of Aerosol and Cloud over the Central Plain of North China in Summer

open access: yes应用气象学报, 2021
The vertical distribution of aerosols and clouds is a key issue in the indirect climate effects of aerosols. Based on the aerosol and cloud droplet number concentration data observed by 6 aircrafts over the central plain of North China from July to ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
