Human‐induced climate change is a driver of extinction, with extreme events occurring more frequently. It increases both the amount and fluctuations in environmental stress that organisms experience. In such environments, greater intra‐specific trait variation creates more potential for adaptation through natural selection.

With temperatures rising globally due to climate change, an organism's survival depends both on its direct tolerance to rising temperatures and its tolerance to indirect effects of warming, such as resource shortage. Genetic background and phenotypic plasticity in the form of acclimation are known to affect stress tolerance, but much about genetic ...

Non‐native species affect the long‐term dynamics of native stream fish assemblages
Characterizing the temporal changes of biotic communities and disentangling the importance of their driving mechanisms are central themes in ecology and environmental management. Non‐native species have multiple adverse impacts on native communities and species.

Questions have been raised about the ability of long‐lived organisms, such as trees, to adapt to rapid climate change, and to what extent forest management actions influence the evolutionary responses of tree species. Given the life history of trees and the time scales involved, these questions are often addressed through modeling approaches. Yet, most

ABSTRACT This article provides a conceptual analysis of the Common Good and its influence within the Neo‐Weberian State (NWS) framework. By addressing concerns regarding its practical application and the effects on public sector reforms, the research delves into the dynamics of crisis management and highlights the conflict between economic influence ...
