PRISMA 2020 Is a Reporting Guideline for Systematic Reviews but Is Often Misused to Guide Review Content

open access: yesCochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods, Volume 4, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta‐Analyses (PRISMA) is a reporting guideline aiming to facilitate transparent and accurate reporting in systematic reviews. The latest version, PRISMA 2020, specifies that it is intended for guiding the reporting, not the conduct, of systematic reviews.

2H‐Phase Molybdenum Diselenide/Hollow Carbon Sphere‐Based Separator With “One‐Stone‐Two‐Birds” Effect Boosting High‐Performance Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 5, September 2026.
The synergistic 2H‐MoSe2/HCS coating effectively suppresses the polysulfide shuttle through dual mechanisms of chemisorption and physical confinement. This results in exceptional long‐cycle stability (800 mAh g−1 after 1500 cycles at 1 C), alongside remarkable electrochemical reversibility.

RuO2‐Based High‐Entropy Oxide and Its Asymmetric Catalysis on Polysulfide Conversion in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
RuO2‐based high‐entropy metal oxide shows an asymmetric catalysis on polysulfide conversion with an inferior kinetics enhancement of polysulfide generation, but a superior promotion of Li2S deposition, which greatly favors the inhibition of shuttle effect and the improvement of battery performance. High‐entropy oxides with five or more metal components

Unraveling the High‐Rate Electrochemical Kinetics of CuSbS2 for Sodium Storage

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
This study investigates CuSbS2 as a high‐performance anode material for sodium‐ion batteries. CuSbS2 shows improved capacity retention and rate performance compared to Sb2S3. Various electrochemical techniques, including DRT from in situ EIS and GITT, confirm its enhanced reaction kinetics, underscoring the potential of bimetallic sulfides for next ...
