Navigating the Ethereal Tightrope: The Nanogenerator Manipulates Neurons for Immune Equilibrium
This review explores how nanogenerators modulate neuroimmune responses, offering innovative strategies for treating neurological disorders. By interfacing with neural pathways, they enable precise control of immune activity, especially via vagus nerve stimulation.

The Opium Wars, Opium Legalization, and Opium Consumption in China [PDF]
The effect of drug prohibition on drug consumption is a critical issue in debates over drug policy. One episode that provides information on the consumption-reducing effect of drug prohibition is the Chinese legalization of opium in 1858.

Discovery of a Novel DNMT1 Inhibitor with Improved Efficacy in Treating β‐Thalassemia
Context of Research: β‐thalassemia affects millions worldwide. DNMT inhibitors are effective HbF‐inducers that benefit patients with β‐thalassemia. Existing DNMT inhibitors are not approved for β‐thalassemia treatment due to dose‐limiting toxicity. What We Find: DMT207 traps DNMT1 into helix‐kinked inactive conformation and enhances its interaction with

Researching Hard-to Reach Populations: Privileged Access Interviewers and Drug Using Parents [PDF]
Accessing drug using populations is notoriously fraught with difficulties for researchers (Gurdin & Patterson, 1987; Griffiths, Gosspo & Strang, 1993; Renzetti & Lee, 1993; Spreen & Zwaagstra, 1994; Goode, 2000; Elliott et al., 2002).

Connexin 26 Functions as a Direct Transcriptional Regulator During the Cochlea Development
Connexin26 can not only form intercellular channels that mediate rapid communication on the cell membrane, but also enter the nucleus as a transcription factor to directly regulate the transcription of nuclear genes. In the developing cochlea, Cx26 can control the maturation of the molecular scissor ADAM10 by regulating the transcription of TspanC8 ...

Design and Characterization of DX‐Tile DNA Nanostar‐Based Hydrogels
In this study, the authors demonstrated that DNA DX‐tile‐based multi‐arm motifs can be used to assemble pure DNA hydrogels, offering greater design flexibility and enhanced control over their mechanical properties and functionalization capabilities compared to single duplex‐based DNA hydrogels.
