Acta Horticulturae, 2006Models predicting growth and yield have been developed for a large number of crops. This paper describes a dynamic, mechanistic model for sweet pepper, addressing issues such as leaf area expansion, dry matter partitioning and validation. Leaf area formation and organ initiation are simulated as a function of temperature sum.

Potential dry matter production of Miscanthus sinensis in The Netherlands
Industrial Crops and Products, 1992Abstract The perennial C4-grass Miscanthus sinensis cv. ‘Giganteus’ is being advocated as a new biomass or fibre crop for north-western Europe. Above-ground yields of up to 40 tonnes of dry matter/ha/year have been claimed. Crop parameters of a fully-established M. sinensis stand were measured during the 1991 growing season.
