Plant Type and Dry Matter Production in Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) Cultivars. I. Varietal differences in dry matter production.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 1994
Varietal differences in growth, dry matter production and solar radiation interception among 11 peanut cultivars were studied under field conditions for 2 years to elucidate the salient features augmenting productivity. The cultivars used were Chiba 43, Chibahandachi (Virginia types) ; Kintoki, Hakuyu 7-3, (Spanish types) ; Valencia, Hotakuchuryu ...

Effects of forage supplements on milk production and chemical properties, in vivo digestibility, rumen fermentation and N excretion in dairy cows offered red clover silage and corn silage or dry ground corn [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
peer-reviewedThis study concerned the effects of partial substitution of clover silage with high starch forages on milk production and chemical composition, in vivo digestibility, rumen fermentation pattern and nitrogen excretion of dairy cows.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Studies on Dry Matter and Grain Production of Rice Plants : III. Analysis of dry matter productivity before heading stage

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 1982
In order to analyze the causes of varietal differences in dry matter production before the heading stage, the same varieties used for the experiment, in paper II were examined. The photosynthetic rate of a single leaf (Po), the respiratory rate of each plant organ and the specific leaf area were determined.

Herbage Yield and Quality of Two Vegetative Parts of Indigofera at Different Times of First Regrowth Defoliation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A field experiment using Indigofera sp. was conducted at the Farm Research Station of Faculty of Animal Science, Bogor Agricultural University, Darmaga Campus, during 2008-2009. The objectives of this study were to identify the effect of defoliation time

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Light-use Efficiency and Fruit Dry Matter Content Affect Fresh Yield of Sweet Pepper

open access: yesHortScience
Improving the productivity of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum) is essential to meeting the increasing global demand. This can be partially accomplished by investigating and determining high-yield traits, thereby enabling the selection or breeding of high ...

Whole-rotation dry matter and nitrogen grain yields from the first course of an organic farming crop rotation experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The possibilities for increasing total grain yield in organic cereal production through manipulation of crop rotation design were investigated in a field experiment on different soil types in Denmark from 1997 to 2000.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
