Monitoring wet and dry process using precipitation changes [PDF]

open access: yesWater Harvesting Research, 2017
Minimum and maximum precipitation and their oscillations in a specific period of time is a common phenomenon all around the world, which depend on the type of climate.

Progress and Development of Electrorefiner in Dry Reprocessing Process

open access: yesHe huaxue yu fangshe huaxue, 2023
Fast reactor spent fuel with high burnup has the characteristics of high plutonium content, high radioactivity and high heat release rate. The aqueous reprocessing based on solvent extraction principle has the problem of solvent radiolysis.

Comparative Analysis of Rubberized Asphalt and Traditional Asphalt: Performance, Economic, and Environmental Impacts in Life Cycle

open access: yesInfrastructures
Rubberized asphalt mixtures, including dry-process, wet-process with asphalt rubber binder, and wet-process with terminal blend binder, are superior options for pavement construction compared to conventional hot mix asphalt (HMA).

Description of saturation curves and boiling process of dry air [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Air is a mixture of gases forming the gas wrap of Earth. It is formed by dry air, moisture and other pollutants. Dry air is a substance whose thermodynamic properties in gaseous state, as well as the thermodynamic properties of its main constituents in ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Enhanced Dry Process Method for Modified Asphalt Containing Plastic Waste

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2021
In recent years, the proliferation of plastic waste has become a global problem. A potential solution to this problem is the dry process, which incorporates plastic waste into asphalt mixtures.

Exergy Analysis of Food Drying Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
It is well known that micro-level system parameters may have some great impact on macro-level energy aspects, the environment, and sustainability. Of course, if one wants to approach these thermodynamically, there are two ways: energy analysis through the first law of thermodynamics and exergy analysis through the second law of thermodynamics.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Solar Biomass Gasification Combined With Iron Oxide Reduction for Syngas Production and Green Iron Metallurgy

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2020
The solar gasification of biomass with iron oxide for combined syngas and iron production was investigated. Both solar energy and biomass are promising renewable energies.
