Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

An experimental study on the CO2/sand dry-frac process
The CO2/sand dry-frac process is a waterless fracturing technology in which CO2 instead of water is used as fracturing fluid. The application of the technology abroad (in the USA and Canada) shows that it works well in stimulating low-pressure, low ...

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Development of Dry Distillation Equipment and Separation Process for Production of 211At
With a half-life of 7.2 h, the decay of 211At produces α particles that have a limited range in tissues (55-80 μm), equivalent to approximately 6-8 cell widths.

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

GIS-Based PCA–MDS Soil Fertility Index (SFI) Assessment for Coastal Soil Management
Coastal agroecosystems are increasingly vulnerable to soil degradation due to intensive agricultural practices, salinity stress, and climate-driven pressures, threatening long-term food security. The main objective was to assess soil fertility status and
