The Drying Process in Spray Drying and Creation Simulation Model
Advanced Materials Research, 2011The article describes the activities of spray dry, for which was designed a mathematical model of the drying. This model allows to identify and define the process throughout drying. The output of this model is the equation of balance. Production process of ceramic granulate was selected as subject for simulations.

Models for drying kinetics based on drying curves of slabs
Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification, 2000An overview of approximate models for the drying kinetics is given, including lumped diffusion models, retreating front models and the characteristic drying curve model. To keep this overview orderly, only drying bodies with a slab geometry and a constant temperature are considered.

This work deals with the modeling of coal pyrolysis to coke for blast furnace which corresponds to the thermal decomposition process of organic substances in the absence of air. The final aim of the European project (SPRITCO) which includes this work is the prediction of the coal pushing on the heating wall in the coke oven battery to prevent their ...

Microwave Drying of Banana Slices- Drying Kinetics and Modelling
Journal of Advances in Food Science & TechnologyThis study investigated the drying kinetics of thin-layer banana slices (Musa spp.) using a domestic microwave oven across five controlled power levels. Fresh banana slices, prepared to a uniform thickness of 0.25 cm and initial moisture content of approximately 80% (wet basis), were dehydrated to a final moisture content ranging between 17% and 18 ...

Mathematical Modelling of Drying
2004Mathematical modeling of drying is very difficult task due to the changing states of the moist product during drying and many different dryer types. To date, no uniform design and mathematical model for dryers exist. The most used models are so called thin-layer models. In the world there are two major opinion that exist.
