Primary and Secondary Symbionts of Cambodian Cicadellidae and the Role of Parasitisation. [PDF]
Environ Microbiol RepLeafhoppers are key agricultural pests, and their interactions with parasitoids may be influenced by microbial symbionts. In this study, we characterized the bacterial communities of six Cambodian leafhopper species and their parasitoids, finding that while Sulcia dominates leafhopper microbiotas, parasitoids exhibit higher microbial diversity.
