Thaumatodryininae is a small subfamily of Dryinidae, known to attack nymphs of auchenorrhynchous Flatidae (Hemiptera). Only one genus is recognized, Thaumatodryinus Perkins, with 35 species including fossil and extant taxa.

A new species of pincer wasp, Lonchodryinus ater sp. nov. (Hymenoptera, Dryinidae) is described from Madagascar, Toliara province, Beza Mahafaly Reserve. The new species is close to L. hovanus Olmi, 2004.
