Kew Bulletin, 2010Twenty-one species of Megalastrum are here recognised for Central America. A dichotomous indented key is given to identify the species, and each species is provided with a description, complete synonymy, discussion, specimens examined, and illustrations. Eight new species are described: Megalastrum apicale R. C. Moran & J. Prado, M. costipubens R.

New Combinations in Megalastrum (Dryopteridaceae)
American Fern Journal, 1987One of Carl Christensen's many important contributions to fern taxonomy was demonstrating that Dryopteris, as defined around the turn of the century, was a vast, unrelated assemblage of ferns (Christensen, 1913, 1920). He indicated this diversity by dividing Dryopteris into 11 subgenera, using characters such as pinnule arrangement, hair type, and ...

Megalastrum (Dryopteridaceae) in the West Indies
Brittonia, 2009Seven species of Megalastrum have been generally recognized in the West Indies. In this treatment, we recognize nine species for the region, five of which are endemic. We describe a new species (M. angustum), make three new combinations (M. caribaeum, M. gilbertii, M.

Abstracts of the conference "Plants in the monsoonal climate - IX: Plant systems under the global change. ", 26.06.2022 - 01.07.2022, Vladivostok, Russia, 2022Семейство Dryopteridaceae по численности видов занимает второе место в дальневосточной птеридофлоре. Сведения о составе этого семейства на российском Дальнем Востоке, распространении, приуроченности к ценозам, морфологическом строении представителей были обобщены Н.Н.Цвелевым в сводке «Сосудистые растения советского Дальнего Востока» более 30 лет назад.

Monograph of the Elaphoglossum ciliatum group (Dryopteridaceae)
Brittonia, 2009The Elaphoglossum ciliatum group was supported by a previous study as monophyletic on the basis of cpDNA sequence data. The present paper provides a monograph of this group. It includes keys, full synonymy, descriptions, specimens examined, index to collectors’ names and numbers, photographs, and distribution maps for all species.

Phylogeny and biogeography of exindusiate Andean Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae)
American Journal of Botany, 2014• Premise of the study: Uplift of the tropical Andes had a significant impact on the diversification of South American flora and fauna. Recent biogeographic inquiries have established patterns of Andean divergence, but investigations on ferns are scant.

Flavonoid patterns in athyriaceae and dryopteridaceae
Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, 1978Abstract Fifty-one fern species, representative of 11 genera of the Japanese Athyriaceae and Dryopteridaceae (21 species of 6 genera of the former and 30 species of 5 genera of the latter family) have been chemically surveyed for flavonoid glycosides in their fronds, and the results are discussed in connection with their taxonomy and the phylogeny.

Phylogeny of the Polybotryoid Fern Clade (Dryopteridaceae)
International Journal of Plant Sciences, 2015Premise of research. The polybotryoid fern clade is completely Neotropical and consists of Cyclodium, Maxonia, Olfersia, Polybotrya, and Polystichopsis. It has never received a detailed phylogenetic analysis. We performed such an analysis to examine the relationships among species and genera and to map the evolution of their morphological and ...
