SHADOW PRICE IMPLICATIONS OF SEVERAL STOCHASTIC DOMINANCE CRITERIA [PDF]

open access: yes
Stochastic dominance criteria can be, but seldom are explicitly, applied to problems having continuous variables. A previously developed model is modified to facilitate exploration of sets of shadow price vectors for decreasing (non-increasing) absolute ...

Complete lymph node dissection versus selective lymph node extirpation in melanoma patients with nodal macrometastasis and adjuvant systemic therapy

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and Objectives Complete lymph node dissection (CLND) is the standard of care in patients with regional nodal melanoma macrometastasis. However, evidence on surgical procedures in the era of adjuvant systemic therapies is lacking. Patients and Methods This retrospective multi‐center study included stage IIIB–D melanoma patients with ...

$D_{sJ}^+(2632)$: An Excellent Candidate of Tetraquarks

open access: yes, 2004
We analyze various possible interpretations of the narrow state $D_{sJ}(2632)$ which lies 100 MeV above threshold. This interesting state decays mainly into $D_s \eta$ instead of $D^0 K^+$.

Informal PrEP use in Greece: The long, hard road to formal programmatic implementation

open access: yesHIV Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Pre‐exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) with antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) is a highly effective HIV prevention strategy. Although the European Medicines Agency approved oral PrEP in 2016 and the World Health Organization (WHO) has since recommended simplified and person‐centred delivery models, implementation remains inconsistent across ...

Unveiling the Significance of the Androgen Receptor Gene in Disorders of Sex Development

open access: yesAdvances in Human Biology
Disorders of sex development (DSD) encompass a range of congenital conditions where the development of chromosomal, gonadal or anatomical sex is atypical. There are many genes associated with DSD, and one of them is the androgen receptor (AR) gene, which

Addiction and chronic skin diseases: A Pan‐European study on prevalence, associations and patient impact

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This pan‐European study reveals high rates of addiction in patients with chronic skin diseases. Smoking, alcohol, drug use, gambling, and internet addiction were prevalent and associated with quality of life, demographics, and region. The findings support integrating addiction screening into dermatologic care to improve outcomes.

The multi-parameter remote measurement of rainfall [PDF]

open access: yes
The measurement of rainfall by remote sensors is investigated. One parameter radar rainfall measurement is limited because both reflectivity and rain rate are dependent on at least two parameters of the drop size distribution (DSD), i.e., representative ...

On Dual Formulation for Higher Spin Gauge Fields in $(A)dS_d$

open access: yes, 2004
We obtain dual actions for spin $s \geq 2$ massless fields in $(A)dS_d$ by solving different algebraic constraints in the same first-order theory. Flat space dual higher spin actions obtained by Boulanger, Cnockaert and Henneaux \cite{BH} by solving ...
