The DSI Small Satellite Launcher

open access: yes, 1991
Three DSI Launchers were used aboard the Discovery (STS-39) in May 1991 as part of the Infrared Background Signature Survey (IBSS). Each launcher successfully deployed a Chemical Release Observation (CRO) Sub satellite which were launched under the Complex Autonomous Payload (CAP) program, an outgrowth of NASA Goddard's GAS program.

Cardenolide‐Engineered Extracellular Vesicles Augment Drug Uptake and Cytotoxicity in Non‐small Cell Lung Cancer Cells

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 3, 9 February 2026.
Cardenolide‐functionalized extracellular vesicles enable targeted delivery of the chemotherapeutic doxorubicin to A549 lung cancer cells by binding Na+/K+‐ATPase, which is overexpressed in these cells. Surface‐modified, drug‐loaded EVs exhibit enhanced cytotoxicity compared to unmodified EVs and free drug, suggesting this system may lower the effective

Insights Into the Influence of the Greenland Ice Sheet on Oceanic Macronutrient Dynamics From Decades of Historical Data

open access: yesGlobal Biogeochemical Cycles, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Increasing freshwater discharge from the cryosphere has the potential to affect mechanisms that regulate the supply of macronutrients to primary producers in the ocean. Although numerous studies have characterized the biogeochemical effects of freshwater discharge from the Greenland Ice Sheet within fjords, it is unclear to what extent these ...

Aquaporin‐1, aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 differentially modulate cell biophysical and biomechanical properties, impacting cell stiffness and cell–cell adhesion

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 3, Page 806-824, February 2026.
GA text Overexpression of aquaporins AQP1, AQP3, or AQP5 in HEK‐293 T cells induced changes in cell biophysical properties and migration. Atomic force microscopy (AFM)–based force spectroscopy studies demonstrated that AQP1 overexpression increased cell stiffness and cell–cell adhesion, AQP3 augmented cell stiffness but reduced cell–cell adhesion ...

Care Needs of Community‐Dwelling Older Adults Living in Poverty and Their Relationship With Other Biopsychosocial Variables: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, Volume 82, Issue 2, Page 1406-1420, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To assess the care needs of older adults living in poverty in a high‐income country and to analyse their relationship with other outcome variables. Design A cross‐sectional study. Method Data were collected between September 2022 and February 2024 from 384 older adults in southeastern Spain. Descriptive statistics were calculated to assess
