DSMC methods for multicomponent plasmas
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012A general approach to Monte Carlo methods for Coulomb collisions is proposed. Its key idea is an approximation of the Landau-Fokker-Planck equations by the Boltzmann equations of a quasi-Maxwellian kind. This means that the total collision frequency for the corresponding Boltzmann equation does not depend on velocities.

Detonation in Microchannel by the DSMC Method
42nd AIAA Thermophysics Conference, 2011A detonation wave propagation along a two-dimensional 1-mm-width channel in hydrogenoxygen stoichiometric mixture has been simulated by Direct Simulation Monte Carlo method. A detailed chemical kinetic mechanism for 6 species has been implemented and all the chemical reactions have been modeled at a level of molecular collisions.

Efficient CUDA implementation in the DSMC method
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012An algorithm of DSMC computations on several graphic processor units (GPUs) is proposed. The efficiency of this algorithm is demonstrated. The computational efficiency of one GPU is equivalent to 10-30 processors of a computational cluster based on multicore CPUs.
