Visualization of Molecular Transport by the DSMC Method
Rarefied gas flows through the circular tubes with a finite length were numerically simulated by the Direct Simulation of Monte Carlo method. The effects of boundary conditions, such as accommodation coefficients and surface temperatures at the solid surfaces of the tubes are discussed.

Plasma biomarkers are related to white matter integrity in alzheimer's disease continuum
Abstract Background Plasma biomarkers (PB) of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a non‐invasive and economic alternative for early diagnosis. Due to the increasing incidence of dementia worldwide, understanding the relationship between PB and other AD biomarkers, such as neuroimaging is necessary.

Direct Simulation Monte Carlo Method in Industrial Applications [PDF]
In the present work three different applications of DSMC method to problems of industrial interest are revised and deepen by using both other methodologies and a more updated or advanced DSMC code, compared with those already used by other researchers to

Computer simulations of an impurity in a granular gas under planar Couette flow
We present in this work results from numerical solutions, obtained by means of the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method, of the Boltzmann and Boltzmann--Lorentz equations for an impurity immersed in a granular gas under planar Couette flow.

Abstract Background Disruptions in brain network connectivity are strongly associated with the progression of cognitive decline in the Alzheimer's disease (AD) continuum, including mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This study aimed to investigate the relationship between alterations in functional brain connectivity within the default mode network (DMN ...

Abstract Background With the growth of the elderly population and the increasing incidence of diseases related to cognitive decline, there is a growing demand for effective cognitive screening methods. This study explores the application of a memory and learning test integrated with electroencephalographic (EEG) monitoring in healthy elderly ...
