An eigenstructure technique for soft synchronization of DSSS signals

1996 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing Conference Proceedings, 2002
Soft synchronization of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals introduces the capability of despreading the signals with improving estimates of the spreading code. The technique presented here exploits the eigenstructure of a frequency-channelized DSSS signal to estimate the code.

A Novel Practical Method for Blind Detection of DSSS Signal in Multiple Signals Environment

International Bhurban Conference on Applied Sciences and Technology, 2020
Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) communication has been extensively adopted in military and civilian fields because of its high processing gain, anti-jamming capability and low probability of interception (LPI).

Evaluation of Security for DSSS Under Repeater Jamming

2007 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2007
Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technique has been widely used in both military communications and commercial communications. On the other hand, it is a challenge to both frequency surveillance and military counter measures. The normal jamming types, including broadband noise, partial-band noise and so on, are ineffective at the current jamming ...

Chirp-rate quasi-orthogonality based DSSS-CDMA system for underwater acoustic channel

, 2020
Underwater network node positioning is a key supporting technology for underwater networks. Generally, nodes at known locations (anchor nodes) are used to transmit location information to the node to be located, and the node to be located performs ...

Adaptive acquisition of PN sequences for DSSS communications

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1998
Since the received signal levels in mobile communications are unknown and the location is varying, acquisition schemes for pseudonoise (PN) sequences with fixed thresholds cannot provide satisfactory performance. This fixed-threshold scheme may cause too many false alarms or result in a low detection probability for a selected threshold value.

Feasibility Assessment of Repeater Jamming Technique for DSSS

2007 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2007
Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) systems spread the baseband data signal over a broad bandwidth to achieve anti-jamming protection, which increase the difficulty of spectrum surveillance. The current jamming types, including broadband noise, partial-band noise and so on, are ineffective at the current jamming power level when the processing gain ...

Analysis and Optimization of Ambiguity Function in Radar-Communication Integrated Systems Using MPSK-DSSS

IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2019
With increasingly sophisticated electromagnetic environment of combat platforms, radar communication integration has attracted wide interests. In this letter, instead of designing a new integrated signal, we employ multiple-phase shift keying direct ...

A Joint Code-Doppler Acquisition Algorithm for DSSS-MSK Based on FFT

2020 IEEE 4th Information Technology, Networking, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2020
Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) minimum frequency shift keying (MSK) modulation is very suitable for satellite communications with short frame, but how to quickly achieve DSSS-MSK signal acquisition under high dynamic large Doppler shift and low ...

Improving DSSS transmission security using Barker code along binary compliments (CBC12-DSSS)

2012 International Conference on Emerging Technologies, 2012
Direct sequence spread spectrum is one of the three fundamental techniques (other two are FHSS and THSS) of Spread Spectrum communication. In DSSS the digital information signal or user data is multiplied with a high-bit rate Barker code to spread the spectrum.

The role of the decision maker in DSSs and representation levels

Proceedings of the Twenty-Eighth Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, vol.3, 2002
We claim that the role of the decision maker in a DSS is to control a heuristic search. In this context, the models involved in a DSS naturally appear as evaluation functions driving the end-user control. This interpretation, which seems to be natural for P.
