Impairments-aware time slot allocation model for energy-constrained multi-hop clustered IoT nodes considering TDMA and DSSS MAC protocols

Journal of Industrial Information Integration, 2021
The possibility of Internet of Things (IoT) is that a large number of live items (e.g., apparatuses) in the network are available, detected, and interconnected.

DSSS with FPGA

2007 IEEE 15th Signal Processing and Communications Applications, 2007
In this paper, we present the implementation of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) using one of the hardware definition languages ,Very High Speed Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL).AIgorithms are implemented on 3s100 evg100-4 device, belonging to Xlinx FPGA family. These systems are used in mobile ...

An Improved PMF-FFT Acquisition Approach Based on Frequency Segmentation for DSSS Signals

2021 IEEE 5th Information Technology,Networking,Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2021
With an environment of low signal-to-noise ratio and large frequency deviation, in order to meet the requirement of output signal-to-noise ratio, the acquisition of direct sequence spread spectrum signals (DSSS) requires a long accumulation time, but the

Estimation of Spreading Code in non-periodic Long-Code DSSS Signal

2021 Sixth International Conference on Wireless Communications, Signal Processing and Networking (WiSPNET), 2021
To estimate the spreading code of the non-periodic long-code DSSS (NPLC-DSSS) signal, this paper proposed a similarity reconstruction estimation method. the Coefficient of Similarity (CS) was used to reconstruct the periodicity of NPLC-DSSS signal. Then,

A DSSS Receiver for Dual-Mode DSSS/OFDM Wireless LAN Systems

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2006
This paper introduces a DSSS baseband receiver suitable for a dual mode DSSS/OFDM wireless LAN system. Packet synchroniser with a pair of ADCs with dynamic sampling is used for detecting both DSSS and OFDM packets. For differentially encoded symbols, frequency offset and phase offset can be compensated based on their inherent characteristics.

Improving DSSS transmission security using Barker code along binary compliments (CBC12-DSSS)

2012 International Conference on Emerging Technologies, 2012
Direct sequence spread spectrum is one of the three fundamental techniques (other two are FHSS and THSS) of Spread Spectrum communication. In DSSS the digital information signal or user data is multiplied with a high-bit rate Barker code to spread the spectrum.

Efficient DSSS burst synchronization methods

Proceedings of ISSSTA'95 International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications, 2002
This paper treats the synchronization of packetized (burst like) direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals. Burst lengths up to 200 bits with binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation are considered. Under the condition of receive signal levels below the noise level this is a very critical enterprise as rapid burst detection and acquisition ...

Incremental-data stealth-transmission method in DSSS

Wireless Networks, 2021
A direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) signal has many advantages, such as low SNR and strong anti-jamming ability; thus, it is widely used in various military and civil communication systems. However, hiding and high-data-rate transmission technologies have become the key factors affecting the future applications of the existing DSSS. To solve these

Fractal Dimension of DSSS Frame Preamble: Radiometric Feature for Wireless Device Identification

IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing
This paper demonstrates that the fractal dimension of frame preamble serves as a new radiometric feature that can be used together with other known radiometric features to enhance the identification accuracy in wireless device identification.

PAPR-based DSSS signal detection

2017 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2017
A new detection algorithm for direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals using peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is proposed. The received signals are divided into several blocks. Then we calculate peak-to-average power ratio of each block and we use the average of peak-to-average power ratios as test statistics.
