An investigation of AlN nanoparticles by DTA and DTG methods
UNEC journal of engineering and applied sciences, 2023Differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential thermal gravimetry (DTG) studies at different heating rates of were considered for AlN nanoparticles. The free Gibbs energy in the temperature range of 300÷1400 K is determined at 5, 10, 15 and 20 K/min heating rates.

A new method of DTA: Theory and practice
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1973A novel differential thermoanalytical technique is described and discussed with regard to function, operation, performance, theory and application. Information is provided about the nature of the internal processes taking place at the time of absorption or release of energy. Notable features of the technique include high sensitivity and independence of

The Piloyan method in DTA studies of glass devitrification
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1982A kinetic analysis of the applicability of the Piloyan method to the process of glass devitrification for evaluation of the exponentn in the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation is carried out.

Oxidation stability of crosslinked polyethylene. Isothermal DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1989Isothermal differential thermal analysis has been used to study the thermooxidative stability of two grades of crosslinked polyethylene in the temperature range from 120°C to 230°C. Induction times of thermooxidative degradation were measured from 2 minutes up to 3590 hours.

DTA as a method of studying chemical reactions at high pressures
Thermochimica Acta, 1987Abstract It is proposed that DTA should be used to study chemical reactions under high pressures “in situ”. Two techniques are described which allow the investigation of systems including substances of high chemical activity in different pressure ranges.

Investigation about methods of quantitative evaluation of DTA curves
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1977The investigation gives a comparison of the best-known kinetic evaluation methods for DTA curves. With regard to accuracy and error-compensation, the methods of Borchardt and Daniels, Coats and Redfern and Satava and Skvara in particular are to be recommended if simple irreversible reactions are to be evaluated on the basis of homogeneous kinetics. The

Selection of ammonia oxidation catalysts by a modified DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1980The paper presents a technique of examining catalysts by a modified DTA method in mixtures of reacting gases. The possibilities of using the obtained results for a selection of ammonia oxidation catalysts have been examined. The technique described may also be applied for the selection of catalysts in other reactions.

To compare several methods, used to evaluate DTA experiments, the peroxide tertiary butylperpivalate was degraded. Non-isothermal conditions were applied and kinetic constants were evaluated. The results show that the methods of Borchardt-Daniels and Coats-Redfern turned out to be most appropriate.

Dehydration investigations of a refractory concrete using DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2011Characterization of adsorption-desorption (AD) processes of gas particles on semiconductors is necessary in order to investigate the influence of these processes on the micro/nano-devices performance. By applying a numerical computational method we determined the pressure dependence of the equilibrium coverage of the semiconductor surface by ...

Crystallization Measurements Using DTA Methods: Applications to Zerodur®
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 2003Differential thermal analysis (DTA) experiments described herein apply two methodologies by which to estimate absolute nucleation rates and/or temperature dependencies using a low‐expansion, commercially relevant, multicomponent glass‐ceramic as a test material. In particular, the Marotta and the Ray
