DRIFTS/pyrometer-DTA—a novel simultaneous method in heterogeneous catalysis

Measurement Science and Technology, 2005
This work presents a novel simultaneous method: by coupling a pyrometer—a contactless temperature sensor—to an existing DRIFTS setup such a combination was applied for the first time. During temperature-programmed reduction of silver carbonate with ethylene (as an example), pyrometrically detected processes could be assigned to spectroscopically ...

Methods Combined with DTA

1974
Many crystalline substances show at distinct temperatures spontaneous, reversible structural transformations, the existence and temperatures of which can be observed very clearly in a DTA curve. However, the nature of the resulting products of reaction remains obscure, since these transformations receded during cooling.

Studying salt systems with “wedged - out” compounds by DTA method

Thermochimica Acta, 1985
Abstract A wide application of differential-thermal analysis in studying heterogeneous equilibriums in polycomponent systems made it possible to single out a number of diagrams of state, which reveal lack of the phase of the similarly melting compound in b completely crystallized alloy. It led to the conclusion that traditional means of triangulation

Oxidation stability of polymeric materials dynamic DSC/DTA method

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1982
The dynamic DSC/DTA method was observed to give better selectivity and reproducibility than the isothermal method when estimating relative oxidation stability of plastics materials. The dynamic DSC/DTA method is in this survey exposed to a round robin test.

The acidity of dealuminated clinoptilolite investigated by DSC, DTA and TG methods

Thermochimica Acta, 1992
Abstract Dealuminated NH 4 + -clinoptilolite samples, prepared using (NH 4 ) 2 SiF 6 and calcined at various temperatures, were used for the investigation of acidity properties. The strength of the acid sites was measured by a combination of TG and DSC measurements.

Analysis of Alloys Using DTA and TD Methods with Simultaneous Thermomagnetic Studies

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 1999
A modified thermoanalyzer for investigation ferromagnetic materials as metals and alloys is described. Conventional analog phase detection technique is replaced by specialized digital one which added some new outstanding features of the instrumentation.

A New Isothermal DTA Method for the Study of Surfactants at Liquid Surfaces

1980
A new isothermal DTA method for the detection and study of surfactants at the liquid/vapour interface is presented, In this method a certain mass of liquid is slightly superheated above its boiling point in two identical vessels by a constant heat input.

STUDY OF CLATHRATE HYDRATION OF CARBOXYLIC ION EXCHANGER BY DTA METHOD

Solvent Extraction and Ion Exchange, 2000
ABSTRACT The effect of ionic composition [(C4H9) 4N-, H + (C4H9)N- and H-forms] and degree of swelling of a polyacrylic ion exchanger on the formation and stability of crystalline clathrate hydrates is studied. The melting temperature of clathrates for ion exchanger in the mixed ion form is to a large extent determined by the ratio of counter-ions. For

Evaluation of the number density of nuclei in Li2O·2SiO2 glass by DTA method

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2001
Abstract DTA measurements were performed to obtain the crystallization peak temperature, TC, for Li2O·2SiO2 glass heat-treated for nucleation. The relationship between TC and the number density of nuclei was obtained. Calculation of TC was performed by simulating the crystallization process, and the effects of the size and the number density of ...
