Preparation of MOEAMCl and MAAm Based Hydrogels and Effective Use in Anionic Dye Adsorption
ABSTRACT In this study, hydrogels based on [2‐(Methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride (MOEAMCl) and methacrylamide (MAAm) were synthesized for the removal of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions. Following detailed characterization, the use of hydrogels for methyl orange (MO) adsorption was investigated.

Characterization of Multimodal Silicas Using TG/DTG/DTA, Q-TG, and DSC Methods [PDF]
The formation of hierarchical, multimodal porosity materials with controlled shape and size of pores is the essential challenge in materials science. Properties of silica materials depend largely on different features: crystal structure, dispersity, surface composition, and porosity as well as the method of preparation and possible modification.

Objective Regular imaging by conventional radiography to assess for joint damage is a cornerstone in the management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Scoring systems to quantify such damage, such as the widely used Sharp/van der Heijde (SvdH) score, are limited by the requirement of time and experienced staff as well as intra‐ and inter‐rater variability ...

On the Crystallization of Terbium Aluminium Garnet
Attempts to grow terbium aluminium garnet (Tb3Al5O12, TAG) by the Czochralski method lead to crystals of millimeter scale. Larger crystals could not be obtained. DTA measurements within the binary system showed that TAG melts incongruently at 1840 deg. C.

Optimal transport on supply-demand networks
Previously, transport networks are usually treated as homogeneous networks, that is, every node has the same function, simultaneously providing and requiring resources. However, some real networks, such as power grid and supply chain networks, show a far

Sodium Tetraazidoaurate(III)—From Na[AuCl4]·2H2O to Na[Au(N3)4] and Beyond One Step at a Time
Novel sodium chlorido‐/azidoaurate(III) dihydrates Na[AuCl4–x(N3)x]·2H2O (x = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) provide the first example of a complete series of gradual substitution on tetramer complex anions to be described. Controlled dehydration of Na[Au(N3)4]·2H2O leads to Na[Au(N3)4]·H2O and Na[Au(N3)4], the latter being a highly explosive material.
