DTM — Time and Density

open access: yes
Institutional document defining time as a vectorial, cyclical morphology and density as the degree of torsion within the epistemic cycle. The DTM introduces the PRD minimal cycle, the 60 generative vector, the SLN reduction mechanics, and the 19‑cycle threshold of phonetic stability. It describes the structural transition G → Q and clarifies how time

A Survey of Methods for Constructing 3D Urban Models From Point Clouds

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
The survey outlines a general process for constructing 3D models from point clouds and categorizes the methods based on their use of templates, basic surface primitives, hybrid approaches, or linear primitives. Additionally, the survey reviews the datasets and benchmarks that are essential for testing and training the developed methods.

La Sora scomparsa di fine '800

open access: yesArcheomatica, 2015
The Earthquake of Marsica in 1915, whose centenary was remembered on 13th January 2015, destroyed almost completely the town of Sora (FR). The earthquake caused many victims and important damages to the artistic heritage: Lots of ancient buildings and ...

TreeON: Reconstructing 3D Tree Point Clouds from Orthophotos and Heightmaps

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present TreeON, a novel neural‐based framework for reconstructing detailed 3D tree point clouds from sparse top‐down geodata, using only a single orthophoto and its corresponding Digital Surface Model (DSM). Our method introduces a new training supervision strategy that combines both geometric supervision and a differentiable shadow and ...

Structural insights into xyloglucan recognition by an ABC transporter from a Gram‐positive, thermophilic bacterium

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Athe_2052 is an ABC transporter substrate‐binding protein that recognizes xyloglucan heptasaccharide (XXXG), a soluble breakdown product of plant xyloglucan. The crystal structure of Athe_2052, together with binding assays and computational modeling, shows how XXXG is recognized by this sugar transporter.

Directional information flow in human frataxin defines allosteric pathways connecting the hydrophobic core to the iron‐binding ridge

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Human frataxin deficiency causes Friedreich's ataxia, yet how iron‐binding events are communicated across the protein is unclear. Using transfer entropy analysis of molecular dynamics simulations, we identify buried hydrophobic core leucines (LEU136, LEU140) as the source of directional signaling toward the iron‐binding acidic ridge.

Influence of Laser Repetition Rate, Fluence and Spot Size on LA‐Q‐ICP‐MS/MS 87Sr/86Sr Precision: Insights from Apatites and Silicate Glasses

open access: yesGeostandards and Geoanalytical Research, EarlyView.
Key Points Higher laser repetition rate, fluence and larger spot size increase signal intensity. Higher laser repetition rate produces overlaps in aerosolised particles, improving signal stability and precision. For Sr‐rich materials, moderate spot diameter (≤ 60 μm), 3 J cm‐2 fluence and ≥ 12 Hz repetition rate are recommended.

Online tool for refining socio‐economic analyses better than postcodes: the example of cardiovascular disease in type 2 diabetes in the FIELD trial

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Socio‐economic status (SES) is strongly linked to health outcomes but remains difficult to measure accurately. Conventional approaches based on large geographical units (e.g. postcodes) may obscure SES effects evident at smaller scales.

Changes in Life Expectancy After Stroke Among Americans Aged 50 and Above by Sex, 1996–2018

open access: yesJournal of the American Geriatrics Society, EarlyView.
Life expectancy at Age 50 improved more for individuals with prior stroke history (near 3 years) than for the general population (near 1 year) between 1996–2006 and 2008–2018. Gains were larger among males than females. A substantial survival gap between stroke survivors and the general population persists.
