Kinetics study of transition metal complexes (Ce–DTPA, Cr–DTPA and V–DTPA) for redox flow battery applications

Electrochimica Acta, 2013
Abstract Electrochemical kinetics of Ce(IV), Cr(III) and V(IV) and their diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) complexes are studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) on Pt-electrode. Kinetic parameters such as potential, limiting current, transfer coefficient, diffusion coefficients, and rate constants ...

Ni-DTPA doped agarose gel—A phantom material for Gd-DTPA enhancement measurements

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 1993
In order to study the relationship between the concentration of Gd-DTPA in tissue, and the resulting changes in relaxation times and signal intensity, a phantom material that has similar relaxation times to tissue and that can be doped with Gd-DTPA is required. The "tissue-equivalent" material should not contain Gd; nor should it alter the relaxivities

The use of DTPA diactivated ester in coupling DTPA to proteins

International Journal of Radiation Applications and Instrumentation. Part A. Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1986
Abstract The use of DTPA bicyclic anhydride of DTPA(1–3) and N-hydroxy succinimide pentaester of DTPA(4) to attach DTPA to different proteins have been reported. However, there is indication in the literature that alternative methods are needed. † We have now synthesized N-hydroxy succinimide diester of DTPA for this purpose. The synthetic procedure

Comparison of ‘classic’ 99mTc–DTPA, 99mTc(CO)3–DTPA and 99mTc(CO)2(NO)–DTPA

Tetrahedron, 2005
Abstract Diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) was labeled with 99mTc in three different ways, resulting in ‘classic’ 99mTc–DTPA, 99mTc(CO)3–DTPA and 99mTc(CO)2(NO)–DTPA. The biodistribution of the formed DTPA-complexes was studied in mice with a special emphasis on the behavior of the novel tricarbonyl and dicarbonyl-nitrosyl complexes, which ...

Comparison of Ca-DTPA and Zn-DTPA in Removing 234Th from the Rat

Health Physics, 1985
The relative effectiveness of Ca-DTPA and Zn-DTPA as a function of the dose, number of doses and time of their administration in removing 234Th that had been administered as the citrate or nitrate from various rat organs was investigated. With a single early treatment (1.5 min after intravenous injection of 234Th), Zn-DTPA was clearly less effective ...

Ammonium Bicarbonate‐DTPA and DTPA Extractions of Sludge‐amended Soils

Journal of Environmental Quality, 1987
AbstractA DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) solution is typically used to extract sludge‐amended soils to determine the relationship between soil concentration and plant levels of certain trace elements. The objective of this study was to compare the standard DTPA soil test method with the ammonium bicarbonate (NH4HCO3)‐DTPA (AB‐DTPA) procedure

Gd-DTPA

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1994
The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA) could be used as a contrast medium in CT as an alternative to iodine-based compounds.Solutions of different concentrations of Gd-DTPA and iopromide were scanned in a tissue equivalent phantom and it was shown that Gd-DTPA caused 2.5 times the ...

Comparison of Tc99m-DTPA and Indium-111 DTPA Studies of Baclofen Pump Function

Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 2004
An intrathecal drug delivery system is composed of a programmable infusion pump implanted in an abdominal subcutaneous pocket and a connecting catheter, which is inserted in the intrathecal space in the spine, usually in the thoracic or lower cervical region. Intrathecal administration of Baclofen could help reduce limb spasticity, avoiding some of the

Spectrophotometric method for the determination of a bifunctional DTPA ligand in DTPA-monoclonal antibody conjugates

Bioconjugate Chemistry, 1992
A simple spectrophotometric method was developed to quantitate micromolar concentrations of a bifunctional DTPA ligand in DTPA monoclonal antibody (mAb) conjugates. Titration of a brightly colored 1:2 yttrium (III) complex of arsenazo III with the ligand 1B4M-DTPA obeyed Beer's law over the concentration range 0-2.0 microM 1B4M-DTPA at 652 nm.

Gadolinium-DTPA in Spinal Disease

Radiologic Clinics of North America, 1988
The use of paramagnetic contrast agents, in particular, gadolinium-DTPA, holds great promise for the MR evaluation of the spine. However, because of the lack of a previous model for intravenous contrast enhancement in the spine and because of some peculiarities of enhancement of spinal lesions, close attention must be paid to the appropriate uses of ...
