Decorporation of 241 Am in Beagles by DTPA
Radiation Research, 1975Chelation treatments using daily subcutaneous injections of ${\rm ZnNa}_{3}\text{-}{\rm DTPA}$ were begun 2 wk after the intravenous administration of 0.3 μCi/kg241 Am citrate to six female beagles averaging 505 days of age. Retention of americium in the liver and in nonliver tissue (mainly skeleton) was followed serially in the living dogs by a ...

Factors influencing DTPA conjugation with antibodies by cyclic DTPA anhydride.
Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1984Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) was conjugated with a practical concentration (300 micrograms/ml) of antibody to human albumin (Ab) and 1083 17-1A monoclonal colorectal antibody (MAb-17-1A) via an acylation reaction using cyclic DTPA anhydride (cDTPAA). The conjugation reaction was favored as pH increased.

Environmental Fate of EDTA and DTPA
1997EDTA can be extremely persistent in WWTP and also in natural waters; DTPA seems more biodegradable. However, the biodegradability of DTPA might be of negligible significance as EDTA, and in some cases also DTPA, are generally found in the receiving waters of many industrial areas, thus being classified as one of the major organic pollutants discharged ...

Urinary clearance of 113mIn-DTPA and 99mTc-(Sn)DTPA measured by external arm counting
Urological Research, 1977Single shot glomerular filtration rate measurements involving chelates (113mIn-DTPA, 99mTc-DTPA etc) assume direct loss from the plasma to urine via glomerular filtration and excretion. Inherent errors, due to considerable uptake of activity in tissue and uncertainty of complete bladder emptying are ignored and taking of half-hourly blood and urine ...

Anti-human serum albumin antibody (Ab) was reacted with cyclic DTPA dianhydride (cDTPAA) at various cDTPAA/Ab molar ratios between 1 and 40. Using a carrier In titration method for DTPA and DTPA-antibody conjugate (Ab-DTPA), we determined that the above reactions produced between 0.1 and 11 DTPA molecules per either immunoreactive antibody (sAb) or ...

Significance of 111In-DTPA chelate in renal radioactivity levels of 111In-DTPA-conjugated peptides
Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 2001Metabolic studies of (111)In-DTPA-labeled polypeptides and peptides showed that the radiolabeled (poly)peptides generated (111)In-DTPA-adducts of amino acid that possess long residence times in the lysosomal compartment of the tissues where (poly)peptides accumulated.

A Comparison of CH3-DTPA-GD (NMS60) and GD-DTPA for Evaluation of Acute Myocardial Ischemia
The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, 2005Our objective was to evaluate the use of a new medium weight MRI contrast agent, NMS60 (a synthetic oligomeric Gd-complex containing three Gd(3+) atoms, molecular weight 2158 Da) compared to gadolinium-diethylene triamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA) in a pig myocardial ischemia model. We used 13 male white hybrid pigs.

A simple electrophoretic IEF procedure was developed for the quantitation of bifunctional DTPA ligand molecules in DTPA-protein conjugates. From a calibration plot of pI versus substitution ratios of reference conjugates, the concentrations of DTPA conjugated to protein were determined.

Successful imaging of somatostatin receptor-positive tumors with 111In-DTPA-D-Phe1-octreotide has stimulated development of peptide radiopharmaceuticals using DTPA as the chelating agent. However, use of cyclic DTPA dianhydride (cDTPA) resulted in low synthetic yields of DTPA-peptide by either solution or solid-phase syntheses.

Comparison of the biodistribution of gadolinium-153 DTPA and technetium-99m DTPA in rats.
Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1988Twenty-three mature Sprague-Dawley male and female rats were simultaneously injected with trace quantities of [153Gd]DTPA and [99mTc]DTPA and 0.5 mmol/kg of nonradioactive gadolinium DTPA. Rats were killed at 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, and 30 min after the intracardiac bolus injection.
