On Discrete Time Wilson Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, we define the discrete time Wilson frame (DTW frame) for l2ℤ and discuss some properties of discrete time Wilson frames. Also, we give an interplay between DTW frames and discrete time Gabor frames.

Let's do the time warp again: non‐linear time series matching as a tool for sequentially structured data in ecology

open access: yesEcosphere, 2021
Ecological patterns are often fundamentally chronological. However, generalization of data is necessarily accompanied by a loss of detail or resolution. Temporal data in particular contain information not only in data values but in the temporal structure,

Cognitive, Motor and Oculomotor Contributions to the Trail Making Test in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor, oculomotor and cognitive impairments. Yet disentangling cognitive deficits from motor and oculomotor dysfunction remains a diagnostic and methodological challenge.

Automatic Generation of Piano Score Following Videos

open access: yesTransactions of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval, 2021
This article studies the problem of generating a piano score following video from an audio recording in a fully automated manner. This problem contains two components: identifying the piece and aligning the audio with raw sheet music images.

A Physics‐Informed Koopman Operator Framework for Decentralized Discrete‐Time Sequential Control of a Modular Aerial Parcel Delivery Robot

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a Physics‐Informed Koopman Operator (PIKO) framework integrated with a discrete‐time Sequential Action Control (SAC) for real‐time, decentralized control of a modular aerial parcel delivery robot composed of multiple independently actuated propeller modules.

Evolution of sea fog based on meteorological and oceanographic observations during FATIMA Yellow Sea campaign

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
This study presents a conceptual framework linking sea‐water temperature Tw gradients to the formation and persistence of sea fog in the southeastern Yellow Sea. Over cold waters maintained by tidal mixing, downward latent heat flux enhances lower‐level stability and sustains persistent sea fog, whereas over warmer waters, upward fluxes and thermal ...

Artificial Intelligence for Blue Transformation: A Review of Predictive Modeling and Decision Support Systems in Sustainable Aquaculture

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The FAO's “blue transformation” roadmap necessitates a fundamental shift towards precision aquaculture to meet global food security targets while minimizing environmental footprints. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how artificial intelligence (AI) and decision support systems (DSS) serve as pivotal enablers for the “better ...

A Decadal Home‐Range Dynamics and Habitat Shift in Golden Snub‐Nosed Monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana)

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
This study provides novel insights into the biogeographic patterns of the Sichuan golden snub‐nosed monkey, particularly in terms of habitat suitability and spatial‐use strategies. We found that habitat suitability has expanded over the past decade, with substantial shifts in the environmental factors influencing habitat suitability, from terrain and ...

Using dynamic time warping self-organizing maps to characterize diurnal patterns in environmental exposures

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Advances in measurement technology are producing increasingly time-resolved environmental exposure data. We aim to gain new insights into exposures and their potential health impacts by moving beyond simple summary statistics (e.g., means, maxima) to ...

The three‐step test in international copyright—a global framework for generative AI training

open access: yesAmerican Business Law Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract The training of generative artificial intelligence (genAI) models involves the processing of large datasets, which often include copyrighted materials, thereby raising questions of copyright infringement. These questions tend to center on whether such use constitutes fair use or falls under text and data mining (TDM) exceptions.
