Third‐order dual‐band filter with dual‐band admittance inverter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010
AbstractIn this article, stepped impedance resonator with dual‐band admittance inverter is proposed to design the dual‐band microstrip filter to operate at (2.4, 5.2) GHz and at (0.9, 2.3) GHz, respectively. The proposed dual‐band microstrip filter consists of stepped‐impedance resonators (SIRs) in shunt cascaded by dual‐band inverter.

Dual-Band Crossed-Dipole Reflectarray With Dual-Band Frequency Selective Surface

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
A novel dual-band reflectarray comprising crossed-dipole elements and dual-band frequency selective surface (FSS) printed on both sides of a dielectric substrate is presented. The dual-band FSS function is used as a reflective ground plane. Compared to the dual-band reflectarray backed by a solid ground, the dual-band FSS-backed reflectarray could ...

Concurrent dual-band LNA for dual-system dual-band GNSS receiver

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2013
Two concurrent dual-band low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for GNSS applications are presented. They adopted resistive load and LC resonator load, respectively. On-chip circuits are used for biasing the main amplifiers and active baluns are used for single-ended-to-differential conversions.

Dual-band optics

Optical Engineering, 2013
A dual-band optics design for disjoint spectral bands and for a cooled FPA sensor, sensitive to both bands, is presented. The use of special optical splitting mechanisms enables matching the optical paths of both bands to the same sensor. Reasonable optical performance and good registration were achieved for dual bands such as 8 to 12 μm together with ...

A Circularly Polarized Dual-Band Microstrip Antenna

IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005., 2005
In this paper, we present a dual-band CP patch antenna based on the branch-line coupler feeding technique. The compactness of the dual-band antenna is obtained by inserting a small high-frequency patch into a large low-frequency one. Both patches are printed on the same upper substrate and electromagnetically fed through two perpendicular slots etched ...

Dual-band metaloop antenna

2014 International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas, Novel EM Structures and Materials, and Applications (iWAT), 2014
This paper presents a metaloop antenna, which radiates a dual-band counter circularly-polarized (CP) wave. The antenna characteristics, including the radiation pattern, gain, and VSWR, are discussed. The radiation efficiency is also discussed. It is found that the gain increases by 3.5 dB for the left-handed CP wave and 4.8 dB for the right-handed CP ...

Dual band fractal monopoles

2011 Saudi International Electronics, Communications and Photonics Conference (SIECPC), 2011
In this paper, two new dual band fractal antenna configurations are proposed. The proposed antennas are built on a partial ground plane and fed through a microstrip feed line. The basic design is based on the self similarity principle of fractal profiles but uses different slot geometries.

Dual-band infrared camera

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
Every year, numerous accidents happen on European roads due to bad visibility (fog, night, heavy rain). Similarly, the dramatic aviation accidents of year 2001 in Milan and Zurich have reminded us that aviation safety is equally affected by reduced visibility.
