A dual-band BPF for concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver
Proceedings of the 5th Electronics Packaging Technology Conference (EPTC 2003), 2004The development of concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver has enhanced the miniaturization of all blocks used in the wireless transceiver. That is achieved by casting the two single-band blocks into a dual-band block. In this paper, a dual-band BPF for the concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver is developed. A stepped impedance resonator (SIR) is

A dual-band implantable antenna design
2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014A dual-band implantable microstrip antenna design is proposed for MISC/ISM biomedical telemetry systems. The radiating layer of the antenna is comprised of two concentric square split-ring elements and a metallic pad placed between them. A shorting-pin is also used for miniaturization purposes directly connecting the outer ring element to the ground ...

Third‐order dual‐band filter with dual‐band admittance inverter
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010AbstractIn this article, stepped impedance resonator with dual‐band admittance inverter is proposed to design the dual‐band microstrip filter to operate at (2.4, 5.2) GHz and at (0.9, 2.3) GHz, respectively. The proposed dual‐band microstrip filter consists of stepped‐impedance resonators (SIRs) in shunt cascaded by dual‐band inverter.

Dual‐band matching of arbitrary loads
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2014ABSTRACTThis article presents a systematic approach for dual‐band impedance matching of an arbitrary load using two matching circuits designed separately for the desired passbands as the basis. Exact transform equations for converting the obtained single‐band matching circuits into a dual‐band matching circuit can be applied to any kind of load ...

Dual-band transmitter for RFID applications
2013 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE), 2013A dual-band ASK transmitter is implemented using 0.18-um CMOS technology for RFID applications. Injection-lock technique is adopted for carrier synthesis. The transmitter delivers power levels of 2.9 and -0.8 dBm at operating bands of 384-448 MHz and 768-896 MHz, respectively, where phase noises of -124.5 dBc/Hz and -117.0 dBc/Hz are achieved at the ...

Optical Engineering, 2013
A dual-band optics design for disjoint spectral bands and for a cooled FPA sensor, sensitive to both bands, is presented. The use of special optical splitting mechanisms enables matching the optical paths of both bands to the same sensor. Reasonable optical performance and good registration were achieved for dual bands such as 8 to 12 μm together with ...

A miniaturized dual band RFID tag
2014 IEEE RFID Technology and Applications Conference (RFID-TA), 2014This paper presents a novel highly miniaturized dual band radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder (tag) with an on-chip antenna. The tag has a size of 1.32mm2 and was fabricated in a low cost 130nm complementary metal-oxidesemiconductor process.

Concurrent dual-band LNA for dual-system dual-band GNSS receiver
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2013Two concurrent dual-band low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for GNSS applications are presented. They adopted resistive load and LC resonator load, respectively. On-chip circuits are used for biasing the main amplifiers and active baluns are used for single-ended-to-differential conversions.
