THz dual-band metasurfaces

SPIE Proceedings, 2016
In this paper, we proposed metasurfaces working at two THz wavelengths simultaneously (in a broadband manner for each wavelength). The performance of the proposed metasurfaces at both wavelengths could be manipulated individually. A unit cell of the metasurface is first designed.

Dual band ultrasonic systems

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2002
A dual-frequency band ultrasonic apparatus provides a first ultrasound signal to a region at a first frequency band and a second ultrasound signal at a second frequency band for monitoring the region. A processor controls the first and second ultrasound signals such that a predetermined phase relationship is achieved between the first frequency band ...

Dual-band chiral metasurfaces

2017 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2017
We propose a novel dual-band chiral metasurface that offers arbitrary polarization control of electromagnetic waves. By cascading an array of multiple concentric rectangular rings and precisely rotating each array, we physically encode certain surface impedances at two different frequency bands and realize a dual-band tensor impedance metasurface. Such

Dual-band infrared detectors

SPIE Proceedings, 2000
As the IR technology continues to advance, there is a growing demand for multispectral detectors for advanced IR systems with better target discrimination and identification. Both HgCdTe detectors and quantum well GaAs/AlGaAs photodetectors offer wavelength flexibility from medium wavelength to very long wavelength and multicolor capability in these ...

Dual band wearable antenna

2008 Loughborough Antennas and Propagation Conference, 2008
An antenna fabricated using clothing materials is presented. The antenna operates over the wireless network bands at 2.45 Hz and 5 GHz. An electromagnetic band gap surface is used to reduce back radiation by 10 to 15 dB while maintaining the impedance match over the two frequency bands. Coupling between antennas is significantly reduced making it ideal

Dual band cellular antenna

1997 IEEE MTT-S Symposium on Technologies for Wireless Applications Digest, 2002
Several cellular provider companies have indicated significant interest in a single antenna assembly which could cover both cellular (UHF) and PCS1900 (L-band) frequency bands. A simple, low cost microstrip antenna solution has been developed, demonstrated and the results are presented.

Dual Band Predistortion Systems

2023
This project focuses on the design of wireless communication infrastructure for dual-band applications. It tackles the impairments compensation in the context of dual-band systems and more specifically the case of harmonically related dual-band operation where the two bands in which the transmission is done are harmonically related.

Dual-band Marchand baluns

2008 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2008
The design of dual-band Marchand baluns is presented. The technique utilizes a classical synthesis procedure to derive dual-band network prototypes whose performances are identical to the balun structures. A balun is fabricated on an FR-4 board with measured performance illustrating dual-band characteristics. The passbands are centered at 1 GHz and 3.6

Oscillation Mode Swapping Dual-Band VCO

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2016
A switching network exploiting the principle that the resultant phase noise of VCO will be reduced in proportion to 1/ $N$ , if $N$ oscillators are ideally coupled together. The VCO consists of two cross-coupled oscillators joining by a pair of mode-switched inductors.

Superconducting dual-band filters

2019
Several compact and high-performance HTS dual-band BPF based on multi-mode resonators have been reviewed in this chapter. Firstly a series of novel and compact dual-mode or quadruple-mode resonators are presented for constituting the loworder dual-band filters with the electrically small size and ultra-low insertion loss. Then, a novel dual-mode HRR is
