A Dual-Band Patch Antenna with Combined Self-Decoupling and Filtering Properties and Its Application in Dual/Squad-Band Two-Element MIMO Array

open access: yesSensors
This paper proposes a dual-band patch antenna with combined self-decoupling and filtering properties, designed to suppress mutual coupling between two antenna elements both within the same dual-band and across different dual-bands. Initially, a dual-band

A Polarimetric Phased Array Antenna for E-SAR in L-Band [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The design of a new L-band antenna for DLR’s airborne synthetic aperture radar system (E-/F-SAR) is presented. Beside operations in L-band new components for a system upgrade were developed. These components are intro-duced.

Integrated Dual-Band Filtering/Duplexing Antennas [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, the state-of-the-art integrated filtering antennas with dual-band operation are first reviewed. Then, two designs of dual-band microstrip filtering antennas with a low frequency-ratio are presented. The 1st design is a dual-band dual-polarization (DBDP) antenna with a frequency ratio of 1.2 on a single patch, by employing the coupled ...

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Analysis and Design of a Dual Band-Notched UWB Antenna Using Complementary Split Ring Resonator

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2018
In this paper, the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is studied and applied to design a printed ultra wideband (UWB) antenna with dual band-notched characteristics. Dual band-notched function is obtained by incorporating the CSRR in the radiating

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.
