Dual-band Sierpinski fractal monopole antenna [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A new top-loaded reduced-sized dual-band (1.9 GHz and 3.5 GHz) monopole antenna for wireless communications is presented. The antenna provides better than -15 dB input return loss and keeps the same radiation pattern over both bands.

Dual-Band Suspended-Plate Wearable Textile Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
A novel, dual-band wearable textile antenna fabricated using conductive textiles for operation in both ISM and HiperLAN applications is presented. Its concept is based on the suspended-plate antenna. It features a 60 $\,\times\,$ 45 mm $^2$ rectangular radiating element suspended over a 80 $\,\times\,$ 60 mm $^{2}$ ground plane using a 5-mm

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2025.
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Tunable dual-band planar antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2008
A dual-band antenna design that covers the 2.26-2.54 GHz and 5.14-6.10 GHz bands is presented. The proposed antenna design consists of two patch radiators suspended above a ground plane. The performance in the lower and upper bands can be controlled with less mutual coupling effect.

Trace Nickel Activated Biphasic Core‐CuOii/Shell‐CuOi Secondary Microspheres Enable Room Temperature Parts‐Per‐Trillion‐Level NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.
