Small Extracellular Vesicles from Neural Cells: Physiological and Pathological Roles, and Potential in Neurodegenerative Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Neural cell–derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are emerging as pivotal mediators in neurodegenerative diseases, exerting both pathogenic and therapeutic functions. This review synthesizes current evidence on how sEVs from distinct neural cell types regulate neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, biomarker discovery, and targeted drug delivery ...

Impact response of dynamic coupling between aramid fabric mesoscopic model and soft tissue

open access: yesPolymer Testing
As a core equipment for anti-riot law enforcement, non-lethal kinetic energy projectiles do not cause penetrating injuries due to their blunt impact effect, but they tend to transfer kinetic energy to induce severe concave damage to human abdominal soft ...

Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

Intensification of mass transfer in wet textile processes by power ultrasound [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In industrial textile pre-treatment and finishing processes, mass transfer and mass transport are often rate-limiting. As a result, these processes require a relatively long residence time, large amounts of water and chemicals, and are also energy ...

A Data Driven Review of In Vitro Electrical and Mechanical Stimulation for Post‐Acute Phase Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

The Effect of Single and Dual-Core Yarns Produced with Different Core Materials on the Elasticity and Recovery Properties of Denim Fabrics

open access: yesTextile & leather review, 2019
Elastic structures are preferred for improving the elasticity and recovery of the fabrics. Bagging, which is a three-dimensional fabric deformation, is an undesirable appearance of fabrics. The lack of dimensional stability or recovery after pressure on the fabrics causes bagging deformation.
