Highly Sensitive Electrochemical Biosensor Based on Hairy Particles with Controllable High Enzyme Loading and Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,

A Compact Millimeter-Wave, Dual-Band, Dual-Polarized, Duplex, and Scalable Phased Array Enabling B5G/6G Multi-Standard Systems

open access: yesEngineering
A new, compact, and dual-band dual-polarized duplex (D3) phased array architecture is proposed in this study. In contrast to studies reported previously, this design integrates four independent beamforming systems within a single printed circuit board ...

Dual Polarized Monopole Patch Antennas for UWB Applications with Elimination of WLAN Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2016
This paper presents the design, fabrication and measurement of dual polarized microstrip patch antennas for ultra wideband (UWB) applications with notch at 5-6 GHz band. The proposed antenna rejects the wireless local area network (WLAN) signals and work

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Mesh antennas for dual polarization

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2001
Three mesh antennas, all having an extremely small antenna height of approximately 0.06 wavelength above a ground plane, are presented. First, a mesh antenna excited with a balanced feed is analyzed. It is revealed that the mesh antenna radiates a linearly polarized wave with no cross-polarization component in the principal planes.

Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.

An FSS-Backed Dual-Band Reflective Polarization Conversion Metasurface

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, a novel design of a co-polarized transmission window within the cross-polarized reflection band of a polarization converted meta-surface (PCM) is presented. First, a dual-band reflective polarization converted meta-surface is designed.
