Delivering live-action to handheld devices: experimental results and recommendations [PDF]
This paper addresses the broadcast capabilities of WiFi systems transmitting to handheld devices. The analysis includes a comparison of different antennas at the access point (AP) in terms of received signal strength indication (RSSI) for different ...

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Polarization properties of specular and dense multipath components in a large industrial hall [PDF]
This paper presents an analysis of the polarization characteristics of specular and dense multipath components (SMC & DMC) in a large industrial hall based on frequency-domain channel sounding experiments at 1.3 GHz with 22 MHz bandwidth.

Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Mutually coherent dual-comb source generated from a free-running linear fiber laser
We demonstrate a simple scheme for mutually coherent dual-comb generation, in which two frequency combs are emitted from a linear polarization maintaining (PM) fiber laser. The employed master laser is simultaneously mode-locked along two cross-polarized

Diversity textile antenna systems for firefighters [PDF]
Off-body communication systems are valuable to improve the security of rescue workers by allowing them to transmit vital information collected by sensors. As rescue workers often work in indoor environments characterized by many obstructions, non line-of-

Topology-optimized dual-polarization Dirac cones
We apply a large-scale computational technique, known as topology optimization, to the inverse design of photonic Dirac cones. In particular, we report on a variety of photonic crystal geometries, realizable in simple isotropic dielectric materials, which exhibit dual-polarization and dual-wavelength Dirac cones.
