YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Novel antenna configurations for wireless broadband vehicular communications [PDF]
In this paper, mobile WiMAX trials are analysed to investigate the vehicular down-link performance for a number of on-car antenna configurations. The directionality and optimum polarization of the vehicular antennas are shown to improve both the range ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Analysis of the Local Quasi-Stationarity of Measured Dual-Polarized MIMO Channels
It is common practice in wireless communications to assume strict or wide-sense stationarity of the wireless channel in time and frequency. While this approximation has some physical justification, it is only valid inside certain time-frequency regions ...

The phase-switched screen [PDF]
Conventional (passive) radar-absorbent materials operate either by phase cancellation or by absorbing incident electromagnetic energy and converting it into heat. This paper examines a new type of active "absorber," called the phase-switched screen (PSS).

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Mutually coherent dual-comb source generated from a free-running linear fiber laser
We demonstrate a simple scheme for mutually coherent dual-comb generation, in which two frequency combs are emitted from a linear polarization maintaining (PM) fiber laser. The employed master laser is simultaneously mode-locked along two cross-polarized

A 530-GHz balanced mixer [PDF]
We report on the design and performance of a 530-GHz balanced SIS mixer, the first balanced mixer in this frequency range. This quasi-optical balanced mixer utilizes a cross-slot antenna on a hyperhemispherical substrate lens with eight superconductor ...
