An improved dual active bridge DC/DC converter

2001 IEEE 32nd Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37230), 2002
This paper proposes a novel control scheme for a dual active bridge (DAB) DC/DC converter. The proposed control scheme eliminates the large feedback energy problem existing in previous DAB converters and achieves ZVZCS of all switches. The efficiency and output capacitor current ripple are improved.

Optimal reactive power control for dual‐active‐bridge converter using improved dual‐phase‐shift modulation strategy for electric vehicle application

International journal of circuit theory and applications, 2022
Dual active bridge (DAB) based DC‐DC converters are in high demand for offering quick charging capacity to Electric vehicles (EVs). The conventional technique for DAB is based on single‐phase‐shift (SPS), though it provides simple control but suffers ...

Improved ZVS Range for Three-Phase Dual-Active-Bridge Converter With Wye-Extended-Delta Transformer

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2022
The three-phase dual-active-bridge (3p-DAB) is a popular topology suitable for high-power dc–dc isolated conversion. This converter features bidirectional power flow, zero-voltage switching capability, and reduced transformer and filter volume.

Control of a DC-DC Dual Active Bridge Converter in DC Microgrids Applications

IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2021
In this paper, a control strategy for an isolated DCDC dual active bridge converter to adapt different voltage levels in a DC microgrid is proposed. The control strategy allows regulating the output voltage while maintaining in zero the mean value of the

Parasitic Resistance Effect on Dual Active Bridge Converter

IECON 2019 - 45th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2019
In this paper, the effect of the parasitic resistance on the operation of the dual active bridge (DAB) converter is investigated. Analytical equations of the input-output voltage characteristic for the single phase shift (SPS) and the triangular current (TC) modulation techniques, that consider the parasitic resistance on the secondary side, are ...
