A Dual-Band Dual-Circular-Polarization Antenna for Ka-Band Satellite Communications [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2017
A novel Ka-band dual-band dual-circularly-polarized antenna array is presented in this letter. A dual-band antenna with left-hand circular polarization for the Ka-band downlink frequencies and right-hand circular polarization for the Ka-band uplink frequencies is realized with compact annular ring slots. By applying the sequential rotation technique, a

Dual‐band electrochromic materials for energy‐saving smart windows

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, 2023
Smart windows refer to those which can dynamically modulate the transmitted light by changing their colors. Dual‐band electrochromic materials (ECMs) refer to materials that can change their colors and regulate light transmission in both visible (VIS ...

Dual-band dual-polarized transmitarrays at Ka-band

2017 11th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2017
Transmitarray antennas with dual-band and dual-polarization capabilities are studied here numerically. The antennas are designed based on linearly-polarized unit-cells working at Ka-band for satellite applications. The unit-cells include two printed patches and a connecting via; a 180° phase shift is obtained by rotating one of the patches.

Concurrent dual-band LNA for dual-system dual-band GNSS receiver

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2013
Two concurrent dual-band low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for GNSS applications are presented. They adopted resistive load and LC resonator load, respectively. On-chip circuits are used for biasing the main amplifiers and active baluns are used for single-ended-to-differential conversions.
