Dual-Band Mixer Design

IEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2005
This paper presents a dual-band mixer equipped with a dual-band load using current combine technique to minimize chip area by sharing inductors for each frequency band. A systematic design methodology for the current combine load based on parasitic effect considerations is also developed.

A dual-band BPF for concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver

Proceedings of the 5th Electronics Packaging Technology Conference (EPTC 2003), 2004
The development of concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver has enhanced the miniaturization of all blocks used in the wireless transceiver. That is achieved by casting the two single-band blocks into a dual-band block. In this paper, a dual-band BPF for the concurrent dual-band wireless transceiver is developed. A stepped impedance resonator (SIR) is

Dual-Band Transmitarrays With Dual-Linear Polarization at Ka-Band

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2017
Dual-band transmitarray antennas are demonstrated at Ka-band with the capability of forming independent linearly polarized beams with a given polarization in each frequency band, while sharing the same radiating aperture. The proposed three-layer unit-cell is based on identical narrow microstrip patches printed on both receiving and transmitting layers

A dual-band implantable antenna design

2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014
A dual-band implantable microstrip antenna design is proposed for MISC/ISM biomedical telemetry systems. The radiating layer of the antenna is comprised of two concentric square split-ring elements and a metallic pad placed between them. A shorting-pin is also used for miniaturization purposes directly connecting the outer ring element to the ground ...

Dual‐band shorted patch antenna for dual ISM‐band application

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2001
AbstractA novel shorted patch antenna with a shorted parasitic patch for dual‐band operation is proposed. The upper and lower operating frequencies are, respectively, controlled by the driven and parasitic patches, which are both operated as a quarter‐wavelength structure in the proposed design. A prototype of the proposed design for achieving dual ISM‐

A Compact Dual-Band and Dual-Polarized Electromagnetic Band-Gap Structure

2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE), 2018
In this paper, we present a compact dual-band and dual-polarized Electromagnetic Band-Gap (EBG) structure. The unit cell is composed of an inner folded rotated Jerusalem cross cell and four outer T-shaped cells. All of cells are connected with ground by via.

Third‐order dual‐band filter with dual‐band admittance inverter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010
AbstractIn this article, stepped impedance resonator with dual‐band admittance inverter is proposed to design the dual‐band microstrip filter to operate at (2.4, 5.2) GHz and at (0.9, 2.3) GHz, respectively. The proposed dual‐band microstrip filter consists of stepped‐impedance resonators (SIRs) in shunt cascaded by dual‐band inverter.

Dual-band, dual-polarized microstrip reflectarray antenna in Ku band

2012 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2012
This paper presents a dual-band single layer printed reflectarray antenna with closely separated frequency bands centered at 12 and 14 GHz. The novel unit cell, with which the antenna has been designed, consists of a printed cross-dipole and a split ring element mounted on the same substrate, providing the antenna with dual polarization capability at ...

Dual-band optics

Optical Engineering, 2013
A dual-band optics design for disjoint spectral bands and for a cooled FPA sensor, sensitive to both bands, is presented. The use of special optical splitting mechanisms enables matching the optical paths of both bands to the same sensor. Reasonable optical performance and good registration were achieved for dual bands such as 8 to 12 μm together with ...
