Novel dual‐band dual‐prototype bandpass filter

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, 2014
ABSTRACTThis article presents the novel dual‐band dual‐prototype bandpass filter. The corresponding lowpass prototypes of the first and second passbands of the proposed filter are controllable and can be specified to be different at the outset. The dual‐band resonator is realized by trisection stepped‐impedance resonator.

Compact Dual Band Antenna Design for Ku / Ka Band Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2017
This communication proposes a compact 16 GHz / 30 GHz dual band antenna design for Ku / Ka band applications. The antenna consists of two layers with lower layer having the fed patch and the upper layer having non-periodic element array.

Design of Integrated Duplexing and Multi-Band Filtering Slot Antennas

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, a duplexing antenna and two multi-band filtering antennas using resonator loaded slot are presented. The loaded slot can be flexibly designed as a dual-band or a tri-band antenna by changing the number of the loaded resonator.

Dual band fss with fractal elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Experimental and computed results of a frequency selective surface (FSS) based on a certain type of fractal element are presented. The fractal element is a two iteration Sierpinski gasket dipole.

Independently Tunable Concurrent Dual-Band VCO Using Square Open-Loop Resonator

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
A concurrent dual-band voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with independently tunable dual oscillation frequencies is proposed. A shared square open-loop dual-mode resonator and two varactor diodes are the basic units offering flexible tuning for the ...

Dual-Band, Dual-Linearly Polarized Transmitarrays for SATCOM Applications at Ka-Band

open access: yes2022 16th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2022
We propose here a 40×40-element sharedaperture dual-band dual linearly-polarized transmitarray with 1-bit phase resolution and fixed beam at Ka-band. The design is based on a stacked approach where the unit-cell size is compact and is equal to only 0.48×$\lambda_0$λ and 0.32×$\lambda_0$ at 29 GHz and 19 GHz, respectively. The beam-scanning performances

Compact Dual-band Filtering Power Divider with Low Loss and High Isolation Based on Open-Circuited Stepped-impedance Resonators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications
In this paper, a novel, compact, and high-performance dual-band filtering power divider is presented. The proposed circuit is constructed from a dual-band power divider and open-circuited stepped-impedance resonators.

Dual Dirac liquid on the surface of the electron topological insulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We discuss a non-fermi liquid gapless metallic surface state of the topological band insulator. It has an odd number of gapless Dirac fermions coupled to a non-compact U(1) gauge field.

Miniature Multi-Band Absorptive Bandstop Filter Designs Using Bridged-T Coils

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, miniature absorptive bandstop filters (ABSFs) with one to three stopbands are demonstrated. First, the proposed single-band ABSF is realized by the introduction of one lossy resonator to a conventional stub bandstop filter, while the ...

Dual Band Microstrip Antenna

open access: yesTecnología y Ciencia
The amount of data in today’s communication systems is increasing considerably, which in turn increases the bandwidth needed to deploy a given service. This requires antennas that are capable of operating simultaneously in more than one band.
