Characteristics of dual reflector antennas with gaps placed on the subreflector: MoM and PO analysis
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1999 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.99CH37010), 2003In some applications construction of reflector antennas require assembling smaller panels and conforming them to reflector surfaces, a process, which naturally leave gaps between the panels. Consequently, characterization of performance from these gaps, though small in terms of wavelength, becomes an important issue in antenna analysis and design.

Correlated neuronal activity plays a fundamental role in the development of the CNS. Using a multiple-site optical recording technique with a voltage-sensitive dye, we previously described a novel type of depolarization wave that was evoked by cranial or spinal nerve stimulation and spread widely over the whole brain region in the chick embryo.

Beam shaping is primarily performed by shaping the main reflector. An alternative way to shaping the main reflector is to shape the subreflector in a dual reflector system where mechanically movable panels can be deployed. Panels placed on the subreflector can potentially place their own signature on the antenna pattern, a topic which is investigated ...

Evaluation of a hybrid finite element analysis package featuring dual air-gap elements
The XIX International Conference on Electrical Machines - ICEM 2010, 2010This paper discusses the evaluation of a hybrid finite element simulation package for permanent magnet electrical machines. The package uses traditional triangular elements as well as air-gap elements to facilitate movement of the rotor. The package is capable of simulating machines with two air-gaps using the air-gap element method.

This paper proposes a novel dual-stator brushless doubly-fed generator (DSBDFG) with cage-barrier rotor structure for wind power generation. Due to DSBDFG structure and magnetic field complexity, this paper proposes groove-by-groove method to analyze equivalent current density of control winding and power winding.

This paper presents a rectangular dual-band gap loop antenna designed for 900/1800 MHz mobile handsets with proximate head and hand model. The dual-band antenna consists of two straight wires, each with a single right-angle bend, one end directly excited, the other mounted on the ground plane. The ends of the wires are separated by a small gap.
