Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

On Primal and Dual Approaches for Distributed Stochastic Convex Optimization over Networks
We introduce primal and dual stochastic gradient oracle methods for distributed convex optimization problems over networks. We show that the proposed methods are optimal (in terms of communication steps) for primal and dual oracles.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Identical Duals : Gap Function (Study on Nonlinear Analysis and Convex Analysis) [PDF]
We consider identical duals of two pairs of minimization (primal) problems and maximization (dual) problems from a view point of gap function. The identical dual means that both optimum points of a primal problem and its dual one are identical.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Analysis of variational inequalities with fractional curvilinear integral functionals
This study examines weak sharp solutions for a category of variational inequalities incorporating functionals based on fractional curvilinear integrals, expanding the conventional approach with concepts from fractional calculus. Furthermore, by using the

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

On Validating Closed-Loop Behaviour from Noisy Frequency-Response Measurements
It is shown how noisy closed-loop frequency-response measurements can be used to obtain pointwise in frequency bounds on the possible difference between the actual closed-loop system and the closed-loop comprising a nominal model of the plant and the ...
