Redistributive land reforms, agricultural productivity, and structural change: New cross‐national evidence

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Large‐scale land reforms constitute a substantial redistribution of wealth and reallocation of agricultural land, which is a major form of asset and production input in developing countries. Choice experiments on land managers' participation in environmental programs: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of estimate validity

Crop insurance and irrigation behavior: The conditional role of pumping costs

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Excessive water use for irrigation can accelerate the depletion of water resources, undermining agriculture's resilience to weather‐related shocks. Understanding how farmers make water use decisions is essential for developing effective water management policies.

Farm labor scarcity and its uneven impacts on crop producers in the United States

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This study is the first to evaluate the impacts of farm labor scarcity on producers in the United States across different crop production systems. Between 2002 and 2017, we disentangle the effects of labor scarcity from the impacts of rising commodity demand, technological change, and supply of other inputs on labor market outcomes.
