Assessment of Damage on a Dual Mobility Acetabular System [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Arthroplasty, 2016
Dual mobility designs were introduced to increase stability and reduce the risk of dislocation, both being common reasons for surgical revision after total hip arthroplasty. The in vivo behavior of dual mobility constructs remains unclear, and to our knowledge, no data have been published describing in vivo surface damage to the polyethylene bearing ...

Analysis of an explanted dual mobility cup after 21 years, parabolic wear pattern: A case report

open access: yesSICOT-J, 2023
Case: A dual mobility cup was implanted in 1983 in a 43-year woman. After 31 years of normal function, we analysed the explanted materials with modern techniques.

The Dynamics of Dual Job Holding and Job Mobility [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Labor Economics, 1996
This article concerns dual job holding and its link to job mobility. The authors present evidence from U.S. data on patterns of dual job holding, hours changes, and job mobility. They find that workers move into and out of second jobs frequently, that these movements are associated with large changes in work hours, and that hours constraints may prompt

Dual-Mobility Cups in Patients Undergoing Primary Total Hip Arthroplasty with Prior Lumbar Spine Fusion: A Systematic Review [PDF]

open access: goldSurgeries
Spine and hip abnormalities frequently occur together in most of the orthopedic population; therefore, both of these abnormalities impact the outcomes of the modalities that are being used. Few studies have reported reduced dislocation and revision rates

Two-stage exchange of infected total hip arthroplasty with a dual-mobility cup is associated with a low instability rate [PDF]

open access: yesSICOT-J
Introduction: The two-stage management of hip Prosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) is faced with a high rate of dislocation. Dual mobility (DM) cups have proved effective in reducing the risk of dislocation, but few data are available on the two-stage ...

Reduced polyethylene wear in dual mobility versus single mobility hip implants: Results from quantitative and qualitative scanning electron microscopy analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics
Purpose Dual mobility cup in total hip arthroplasties has gained popularity worldwide as it reduces instability providing greater range of motion. However, increased polyethylene wear remains debated.

Dual-polarized Dual-band Mobile 5G Antenna Array [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 15th International Joint Conference on e-Business and Telecommunications, 2018
In this paper, a dual-band dual-polarized phased antenna array for 5G mobile terminals is proposed. The array has a bandwidth of 3.6 GHz and two resonances at 30.5 and 32.8 GHz. The array has a clearance of 2.85 mm and fed with two ports in simulation to excite the notch and dipole parts of the proposed antenna structure.
